I hope to have something deeper and more involved soon, but right now? I'm glad to be surviving practices and the park and work and all other important things that are taking up my time.
Josh and I are excited to be in this season. We're trying to be mindful about the relationships that we are forming, as well as knowing when to stop. Yesterday Laura Grace had a rough cough and Josh was going to be at school late for a football meeting. Caden was supposed to have baseball practice and I had praise team practice. The thought of all that was overwhelming me all day yesterday. Know what I did (totally out of character for me)? We didn't do any of it. Josh went to his meeting, and I ordered pizza. We put on our pj's at 5:00 and we watched movies and played games on the ipad. It was a peaceful, restful time in the middle of what is a busy week. I just knew we couldn't do it all, and it was frustrating me. We stopped. It's something you gotta do every once in a while! Now, today, we've got AWANA and then tomorrow we have soccer and baseball. But, we're taking it one day at a time! God has blessed us in so many ways and we're trying to savor that all. minute by minute.
